Texas Corral Grill and Saloon - July 11th!!!
Cooking out for
Great Lakes Burn Camp
Sunday, July 11th from 2pm - 5pm
Beginning July 5th, the crew at Texas Corral will be camping out in the front parking lot at Texas Corral (5519 West Main Street, Kalamazoo) to help raise money for Great Lakes Burn Camp. To wrap up the camp out, they will be cooking out in the back parking lot from 2pm - 5pm on July 11th.
They will be joined by local fire, police an ambulance services, along with drivers and cars from Kalamazoo Speedway, Pepsi, Miller Lite, Escape Mobile Training, Ident-a-Kid, U-Tan, Buster the WMU Mascot and volunteers from Great Lakes Burn Camp and our Community.
This will be a great event
for the whole family,
with safety tips and fun activities
like face painting,
a dunk tank and other games.
Dunk Tank - Need Help to Finish or Book Your Event!!!
Hello again everyone.
You will be in awe of the work done so far on the dunk tank. We still need some help finishing it up this next week, June 1st to the 4th. The truck has had all the rust removed and replaced, some new panels and electrical redone and the cab has been repainted. We still need the tank repainted and the new headlight brackets put back on and the tread plate painted. We are hoping to have it for a test run on the 9th.
If anyone has an event you would like to have the truck at you need to contact me
(Mike at 517-937-5527) for the use of it. It is being booked quickly.

Chesterfield Township Fire Fighters Fundraiser!
We all know Dawn...
Hmmm the camp trickster!
Chesterfield Twp. Fire Fighters Union Local 4011
is doing a fundraiser to collect $3,000.00 or more
in donations to help send children to the Great Lakes Burn Camp.
The camp is a great place that provides a sense of acceptance
and belonging to these “burn survivors”,
and a place where they are able to “just be kids”.
Lt. Murphy/Shaw has volunteered at the camp for over 7 years.
She was asked by one of the children last year if she would shave her head.
She agreed and the decision was made to put on this fundraiser.
On August 22nd, 2010
Lt. Murphy/Shaw
will have her head shaved
at the Great Lakes Burn Camp in Kalamazoo MI,
by children of the camp.
Collection of donations will be from
May 1st—August 4th, 2010.
Donations can be dropped off at any of the Chesterfield Twp.
Fire Stations or mail checks payable to
